WLBT digital team members Josh Carter and Jacob Gallant toured the home after dark and hunted for ghosts. Hidden away at the end of Harrison Street in a wooded area is McRaven Tour Home. Said to be the most haunted house in Mississippi, the Vicksburg historic landmark is open for tours and is a popular attraction in the city.

It’s the oldest standing structure in all of Warren County. The first 2 rooms of McRaven House were built when George Washington was President. In 218 years, it’s seen plenty of good times and more than its fair share of tragedy.

Late one afternoon last week, my husband and I visited McRaven House — also known as "the most haunted house in Mississippi," and "the third most haunted house in America."

"McRaven Tour Home in Vicksburg is open again after being closed for several years. Among other things, McRaven is supposed to Mississippi's most haunted house. However, I have never seen anything there myself. But I also know what to say as soon as I get inside the door!"
