Welcome back to Inside McRaven! McRaven is known as “Mississippi’s Most Haunted House,” so wouldn’t you want a chance to participate in an investigation? But first, lets talk about what a Ghost Investigation actually is.
A Ghost Investigation (or Hunt) is when an individual or group of individuals attempt to collect evidence to support the existence of Paranormal Activity using electronic measuring devices that gauge different things, such as temperature fluctuations, EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field) variations, as well as audio or visual anomalies.
Spirits are known to change temperature, often indicated by what is known as hot or cold spots, and manipulate static or electrical current in the environment. Many different tools and devices are used to communicate and gather evidence at McRaven. Rooks, Rem-Pods, Thermal Readers and K2 meters are popular items at McRaven’s monthly ghost hunts, as well as a few everyday items such as motion sensors and Maglite flashlights.
McRaven’s Monthly Ghost Investigations The investigation includes our 8:30pm haunted tour where you will learn the history of the families and the house (so you know where the spirits are coming from!) before diving into full ghost stories; from the ones Vicksburg Mississippi has passed down for generations to your guide's personal experience! After the tour, we will provide you with refreshments while you hang out with the other guests and meet your lead investigators of the night. Once we've had all we can eat we will divide into groups for the investigation! The investigation is just like you see on TV- but better! You're the ones holding all the professional paranormal equipment and asking all the questions, so it's very hands on. The investigation will last until around 1:30am or later, depending on how active the spirits are! That gives you a 1.5-hour tour, all you can eat refreshments, and a 4+ hour investigation for only $75! We have been featured on Ghost Adventures, Haunted Towns and a virtual reality episode that hasn't even been released yet! McRaven is extremely active and you are sure to have a great time! Remember tickets must be purchased 24 hours in advance either online or over the phone.
